The Final Rule for the Provisional Unlawful Presence Waivers of Inadmissibility for Certain Immediate Relatives was published in the Federal Register today. There are many issues it does not solve, including expedited stateside processing for visa petitions not falling under the immediate relative category, e.g. spouse of a Lawful Permanent Resident. And while helpful, and while it wil certainly benefit a great number of foriegn nationals residing in the U.S. without lawful status, it does not solve a great number of flaws with the current immigration system in the U.S. So, while better than nothing, it certainly is far from a cure-all.
